Description
Evening is beginning to fall over the narrow streets of Rye, East Sussex, England in the Standard Inn (circa 1420), East Sussex wall mural. Shops line either side of the street, their windows lit and glowing soft yellow. At the bend in the street stands the Standard Inn, a hotel and pub that was built in the fifteenth century. Photographed by travel photographer David Wall, this quiet scene of an empty European city street captures the crowded quaintness of the historic buildings that have accumulated over the centuries.
